Theodoro Mattos is a partner in the Tax Consulting area at our Curitiba office. He has over 15 years’ experience and focuses on direct taxes. He advises companies and individuals in restructuring and evaluating tax structures, provides tax reviews, identifies and calculates credits, prepares legal opinions, evaluates tax issues related to sending funds abroad, analyzes tax opportunities and contingencies and monitors audits. He also works in merger and acquisition transactions, particularly by advising on due diligence.
Mr. Mattos serves companies from a wide variety of industries, including automotive, consumer goods, services and forestry in the south of Brazil.
Roseli Pazzetto advises in the Tax Litigation area at our office in Curitiba. She has a solid career in the field of business law, with over 27 years of experience. She focuses her work on administrative and judicial tax litigation at the municipal and federal levels, including public bid proceedings. She serves companies from various industries, including agribusiness, automotive, auto parts, food services, banking, metallurgy, ceramic tile and logistics in the south of Brazil.
Ms. Pazzetto is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Financial Executives (IBEF/PR), as well as the Agribusiness Law Committee of Paraná Section and the Brazilian Bar Association.
Rafael works in the Tax, Customs, Social Security, and Regulatory (Telecommunications) areas at our Curitiba office. He has over 20 years’ experience and works in administrative and judicial tax litigation at the municipal, state and federal levels. He performs outstanding work representing clients in audits and filing administrative challenges. He works to help his clients find opportunities to reduce their tax burden and to recover tax overpayments.

Paulo Frankenberg advises in the Tax Consulting area at our Curitiba office. He focuses on federal taxes, tax calculation reviews, accessory obligations, credit recovery and offsets, special tax payment installment plans, legal opinions and monitoring audits, among other things. He has over 10 years’ experience and serves companies from various industries, including automotive, textiles, transportation and wholesale.

Juliana Lopes is partner in the Corporate and Business area at our Curitiba office. She has more than 15 years’ experience and advises clients in matters involving business law, corporate law and contracts, with a focus on corporate restructuring, succession planning, foreign investments in Brazil (involving the Brazilian Central Bank and other agencies), registration of foreign investment and financial transactions, the analysis and preparation of different types of contracts, including international agreements, and work before the National Institute for Intellectual Property (INPI), Compliance programs and General Data Protection Law (LGPD) programs, among other things.
Ms. Lopes serves companies from various industries, particularly in the south of Brazil.

He has over 12 years’ experience and focuses his work on federal tax reviews, tax planning and the preparation of legal opinions. His main clients include companies from various industries, among which are education, retail and manufacturing in the south of Brazil.
Mr. Cruz also works as a professor of tax legislation and tax accounting at the Tuiuti University of Paraná.
Frederico Cunha advises in the Tax Litigation area at our Curitiba office. He has over 11 years’ experience working with business clients and focuses his practice on tax planning and tax litigation, particularly on administrative and judicial litigation at the municipal, state and federal levels. He performs outstanding work before administrative appeals boards such as the Administrative Tax Appeals Board (CARF), the Paraná Taxpayers’ Council, the TAT/SC and TARF/RS taxpayer appeals boards and the Paraná State and Fourth Region Federal courts.
Mr. Cunha is coordinator of the Tax Legislation Committee of the Brazilian Institute of Financial Executives in Paraná (IBEF/PR), a member of the Tax Law Committee of the Paraná Section of the Brazilian Bar Association and a participant in the Tax Studies Nucleus of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation’s São Paulo Law School.
Alexandre Barcik advises in the Tax Consulting area at our Curitiba office. He has over 13 years’ experience in business law and focuses on tax diagnostic analyses and reviews, tax planning, technical letters and opinions, calculation of tax credits, special installment payment plans for tax debts and consulting for certification as an Authorized Economic Operator (OEA).
Mr. Barcik’s work is focused in the south of Brazil and his clients include companies from a broad range of industries, including electric power, agricultural manufacturing, agribusiness, retail, food services and plastics.
Ivan Hasse focuses his practice on the Tax and Corporate Law areas in our Curitiba office. He has over 15 years’ experience as a lawyer and his practice emphasizes tax advising for direct and indirect taxes, structuring tax transactions and advising investment funds. He also advises clients regarding contracts, corporate transactions, corporate governance, business structuring and succession planning.
Mr. Hasse is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Financial Executives (IBEF) in Paraná and the Brazilian Corporate Governance Institute (IBGC). He also teaches graduate courses in tax law at the Positivo University in Curitiba.

Ana Paula Silva focuses her work on our Tax Law and Civil Procedure areas. She has over 20 years’ experience and represents clients in litigation and administrative law proceedings at the federal, state and municipal levels. She works to determine contingencies, establish credits from tax litigation and map and manage companies’ tax litigation. She has experience with tax incentives, redirecting tax execution actions, determining tax liability and related matters.
Ms. Silva represents clients from the automobile, clothing, transportation and retail industries, among others.
