Social Responsibility
We are part of a society that is going through complex and necessary transformations. That is why we seek to create a safe organizational culture, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, culture, religion, social class, disability, or age group.
This is why we encourage a diverse, inclusive, welcoming, nondiscriminatory, and respectful work environment. We seek to constantly broaden dialogue concerning diversity & inclusion, so that each person can be themselves.
Human Development and Social Inclusion Committee – This committee is responsible for developing and implementing personnel management policies with a focus on human and organizational development and social inclusion.
Gaia Plural – GSGA’s Diversity and Inclusion Program: This program works to create space – for discussion and activity – at so that each person can be themselves and feel welcomed in a respectful environment, without prejudices and discrimination. This program focuses on issues concerning racial equality, gender equality, socioeconomic inclusion, and LGBTQIA+.
Gaia Social: This program’s purpose is to especially focus on three areas: social inequality, children, and the environment. The goal is for GSGA’s culture of giving and sharing to expand and be recognized as a priority for the community that shares the same ideas.
Gaia Silva Gaede Advogados works nationwide to provide philanthropic support for a number of entities in Brazil. We regularly support activities that seek to improve the quality of life for underprivileged communities, support early childhood education, and encourage sports.
In the city of Curitiba, our Firm supports institutions that include the Pequeno Príncipe Hospital (Hospital Pequeno Príncipe), the Beneditina da Providência Association (Associação Beneditina da Providência) (Mother Maria Home), the João Paulo II Educational Center (Centro de Educação João Paulo II), Editora Gazeta do Povo (Read and Think Project), the Dona Vera Home (Lar Dona Vera) and the Franciscan Educational Association for Special Citizens (Associação Franciscana de Educação ao Cidadão Especial – AFECE). We make monthly donations to projects working to provide medical assistance to children and adolescents, build homes for those who need shelter, build gymnasiums, and donate educational materials to teachers and students in schools in the state of Paraná.
We also support social projects that benefit children and young people in the city of Rio de Janeiro. There we actively work with the Cooperative Center for the Development of Childhood and Adolescence (Centro de Cooperação para o Desenvolvimento da Infância e Adolescência – CCDIA), which provides extracurricular activities with the goal of helping children remain in school. We also support the Amar Beneficial Association (Associação Beneficente Amar), which promotes the development and social inclusion of children in risk situations, the Brazilian Association for Special Adolescents and Children (Associação Brasileira para o Adolescente e a Criança Especial – ABRACE), the Association for Assistance to the Exceptional (Associação de Assistência ao Excepcional – COLIBRI), and the Servant of Restoration (Servo da Restauração), which provides assistance to HIV-positive children.
In the city of São Paulo, our Firm makes frequent donations to the Green Cross Association (Associação Cruz Verde), as well as to the Salt of the Earth Project (Projeto Sal da Terra), which provides needy children the opportunity to learn about and achieve the values of a more just society.
All those who work at our Firm throughout Brazil also participate in campaigns to provide blankets, food, and personal hygiene products to the homeless.
In this way, we keep the hope of building a better future alive.
