Karina Martins Araújo Santos

Karina is senior manager of the Corporate Sustainability area, supporting the areas of energy and regulation. With extensive experience in regulated sectors, operates for more than 15 years with excellence in infrastructure and renewable energy projects, regulatory processes with ANEEL, ONS, CCEE and other stakeholders, in the negotiation of contracts in the electricity sector and in risk management processes in companies in the sector.

Actively participates in the regulatory agenda, including leading debates on the Micro and Distributed Mini-generation Legal Framework and its regulation. Karina also worked as head of legal in an economic group that works with the distributed generation and energy efficiency agenda. She is currently dedicated to energy transition areas, including in sectors such as Oil & Gas, and new technologies such as sustainable hydrogen and biofuels, as well as regulatory discussions such as opening the free market and energy retail market.

Rodrigo Sluminsky

Rodrigo leads the Corporate Sustainability team’s efforts at the office in the areas of Environment, Climate Change, ESG, and Energy Transition. 

With a multidisciplinary background, he has served for many years as a legal director and a member of the board of directors and sustainability committees in companies in the energy sector. Rodrigo stands out for his leadership in M&A and fundraising processes, project structuring, advisory services to investment funds, and complex contract negotiations in the renewable energy sector. As the responsible partner for the area, Rodrigo leads the Corporate Sustainability team in adopting the best sustainability practices based on national and international criteria and in supporting the management of socio-environmental and climate risks for our clients. 

He is a professor in postgraduate courses at FIA Business School, CEDIN, and ISAE in Sustainability, Renewable Energy, Climate Change, ESG, and Green Financing. Rodrigo is a member of the Energy Committee and the Global Compact Committee of OAB/PR (Brazilian Bar Association/Paraná), and he has also served on the Energy Committee of OAB/SP (São Paulo) and the International Relations Committee of OAB/SC (Santa Catarina). He has various legal articles and opinions published in specialized journals and books. 

In recent years, he has also been dedicated to following the negotiations at the United Nations climate conferences and presenting energy and sustainability cases in Brazil and abroad. He is also the Board Member of Fundraising and Investor Relations at LACLIMA – Latin American Climate Lawyers Interactive for Mobilizing Action, the first network of climate lawyers in Latin America, dedicated to the study, development, sharing, and production of knowledge about climate change law. 

In 2018, Rodrigo Sluminsky received the Best Legal Department in Latin America in M&A award from the Global Counsel Awards in New York, recognizing the achievements of his team in the renewable energy sector.

Como sócio responsável pela área, Rodrigo lidera o time de Sustentabilidade Corporativa na adoção das melhores práticas de sustentabilidade com base em critérios nacionais e internacionais e no apoio à gestão de riscos socioambientais e climáticos de nossos clientes.

Professor em cursos de pós-graduação na FIA Business School, no CEDIN e no ISAE em Sustentabilidade, Energias Renováveis, Mudanças Climáticas, ESG e Financiamento Verde. Rodrigo participa da Comissão de Energia e na Comissão do Pacto Global da OAB/PR, tendo atuado também na Comissão de Energia na OAB/SP e de Relações Internacionais na OAB/SC. Possui diversos artigos e pareceres jurídicos publicados em revistas e livros especializados.

Nos últimos anos tem se dedicado ainda a acompanhar as negociações nas conferências climáticas das Nações Unidas, além de apresentar cases de energia e sustentabilidade no Brasil e no exterior. É ainda Membro do Conselho da LACLIMA – Latin American Climate Lawyers Interative for Mobilizing Action, a primeira rede de advogados de mudanças climáticas na América Latina, que vem se dedicando ao estudo, desenvolvimento, compartilhamento e produção de conhecimento sobre o direito das mudanças climáticas.

Marcos is the partner responsible for our Madrid Office. With extensive experience in International Tax Law, he focuses his work on Markets, Regulatory (Telecommunications), M&A and Wealth Planning.

He is the President of the International Fiscal Association – Latin America Section – IFA Latam, Director of the Brazilian Association of Financial Law – ABDF, and a Professor in the Master’s Program in Tax Law at the Complutense University of Madrid.

Tania Emily Laredo Cuentas

Tania is a senior manager lawyer, focusing her work on the Tax, Customs and Regulatory (Telecommunications) areas of our São Paulo office. She is dedicated to the areas of Administrative and Judicial Litigation, with emphasis on direct and indirect taxes, tax accounting, ancillary obligations, customs law and international trade. Due to her extensive expertise in these areas, Tania prepares technical consultations and specific opinions. Additionally, part of her responsibilities involves preparing special customs regimes, structuring export and import operations and other customs issues.

She also advises national and international clients, including companies in the financial, industrial, construction, insurance, retail, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, e-commerce, and trading sectors.

Tania is a member of the Brazilian Association of Financial Law (ABDF), the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and active member of the Special Commission of Maritime, Port, and Customs Law of the OAB/SP. She also is the author of several articles in the Customs and Tax field and a speaker at various forums on these topics.

Cristiana Alli Molineiro

Cristiana is a senior associate in the  Contracts and Transaction Structuring, Corporate Governance and Compliance Programs and Regulatory Programs area (Central Bank of Brazil) areas at our São Paulo Office. With extensive experience in Corporate Law, Administrative Law, and Corporate Criminal Law, Cristiana specializes in compliance, corporate integrity, regulatory compliance, personal data protection, and anti-money laundering.

Cristiana advises clients from various sectors of the economy, with special focus on payment means, technology, retail, pharmaceutical and industry.

Enio Zaha

Enio Zaha is a founding partner of our São Paulo office. He has over 30 years’ experience with tax law, with a focus on tax litigation and tax consulting in the areas of direct, indirect and social security taxes. He also practices Regulatory (Telecommunications) and corporate law, advising clients on corporate restructuring and foreign investment.

Mr. Zaha represents domestic and international companies from various industries, including food processing, construction, telecommunications, retail, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and insurance.

Mr. Zaha has written numerous articles published in professional journals.

Helena Maria Vasconcelos Duarte Pereira

Helena is a senior associate in the Tax Consulting area at our Rio de Janeiro office.

With an extensive experience in Customs, Tax Law and Regulatory, Helena is specialized in structured transactions, tax planning, tax opportunities assessment, special regimes, analysis and revision of contracts.

Her clients include companies from a wide range of industries, particularly, oil & gas, shipping and infrastructure.
