Anneliese Velasco Burkert Eger is a partner in the Corporate and M&A practice area at Gaia Silva Gaede Advogados. With over 20 years of experience, including 5 years abroad, Anneliese specializes in Corporate Law, M&A, commercial contracts, and private debt restructuring.
Eger graduated from the University of Robert Schuman (France) in 2002 and holds a Master’s degree in European Community Law, as well as a specialization in German commercial and corporate law. She is also a member of the Latin American Business Association, Lateinamerika Verein e.V., Hamburg, of the Paris and the São Paulo Bar Associations.

Paulo Maximilian
Paulo Maximilian is partner of the Dispute Resolution and Arbitration area at our Rio de Janeiro office, stands out for his solid performance in handling strategic processes, as well as in contract analysis and review, in addition to providing consultancy aimed at eliminating, reducing, or assessing risks in business activities.
He advises companies from various sectors of the economy, including banks, fintechs, retail, industry, technology, and advertising.
Paulo is a member of the Banking Law Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB-Federal), the Teachers’ Commission of BRASILCON, and a Counselor of the Municipal Consumer Protection Agency of Rio de Janeiro (Procon). He also serves as a professor at the School of Magistracy of the State of Rio de Janeiro (EMERJ) and in the Business Law specialization course at PUC/RJ. Additionally, he is the author of several published articles and books.
He is recognized for his excellent performance in Banking Law and by the state of Rio de Janeiro by Análise Advocacia 500 and ROUNDLAW.
Rodrigo Sluminsky
Rodrigo leads the Corporate Sustainability team’s efforts at the office in the areas of Environment, Climate Change, ESG, and Energy Transition.
With a multidisciplinary background, he has served for many years as a legal director and a member of the board of directors and sustainability committees in companies in the energy sector. Rodrigo stands out for his leadership in M&A and fundraising processes, project structuring, advisory services to investment funds, and complex contract negotiations in the renewable energy sector. As the responsible partner for the area, Rodrigo leads the Corporate Sustainability team in adopting the best sustainability practices based on national and international criteria and in supporting the management of socio-environmental and climate risks for our clients.
He is a professor in postgraduate courses at FIA Business School, CEDIN, and ISAE in Sustainability, Renewable Energy, Climate Change, ESG, and Green Financing. Rodrigo is a member of the Energy Committee and the Global Compact Committee of OAB/PR (Brazilian Bar Association/Paraná), and he has also served on the Energy Committee of OAB/SP (São Paulo) and the International Relations Committee of OAB/SC (Santa Catarina). He has various legal articles and opinions published in specialized journals and books.
In recent years, he has also been dedicated to following the negotiations at the United Nations climate conferences and presenting energy and sustainability cases in Brazil and abroad. He is also the Board Member of Fundraising and Investor Relations at LACLIMA – Latin American Climate Lawyers Interactive for Mobilizing Action, the first network of climate lawyers in Latin America, dedicated to the study, development, sharing, and production of knowledge about climate change law.
In 2018, Rodrigo Sluminsky received the Best Legal Department in Latin America in M&A award from the Global Counsel Awards in New York, recognizing the achievements of his team in the renewable energy sector.

Marcos is the partner responsible for our Madrid Office. With extensive experience in International Tax Law, he focuses his work on Markets, Regulatory (Telecommunications), M&A and Wealth Planning.
He is the President of the International Fiscal Association – Latin America Section – IFA Latam, Director of the Brazilian Association of Financial Law – ABDF, and a Professor in the Master’s Program in Tax Law at the Complutense University of Madrid.

Veronica Melo de Souza
Veronica is a partner in the Tax area at our São Paulo Office. With 15 years of experience in International Tax, she has an extensive expertise in tax consulting and planning, particularly involving international investments, cross-border operations, transfer pricing, interpretation and application of international treaties, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate reorganizations. In addition, she also works in Regulatory (Telecommunications). Veronica worked as an in-house associate for major players in the telecommunications, technology, and multimedia sectors for 8 years.
Veronica is the author of several international Tax articles, and speaker on the subject at various forums, including IFA Global and ABDF/IFA Brazil.
Renata Borges
Renata is a partner in the Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) area at our São Paulo Office. She has an impressive record in Business Law acquired during her time working as a consultant for Big Four companies, as well as the head of the Corporate and M&A areas of publicly traded companies. Renata works on the planning and implementation of corporate operations and reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, including legal audits, due diligence, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating strategic contracts, as well as dedicating herself to advising routine operations of companies of all sizes.
Renata advises domestic clients and various international investors from a variety of economic sectors, including telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, and insurance.

Enrico is a specialist in Contract Law, Corporate Law, Negotiation and Mediation with over than 20 years’ experience in advising domestic and of multinational companies in Brazil.
