Guilherme Roxo is a partner in the Corporate and Contracting Consulting area of our Rio de Janeiro office. He focuses on activities involving mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, due diligence, structuring foreign investment, private bid proceedings and the incorporation of companies in Brazil. He is responsible for drafting and negotiating various agreements, such as operating agreements, master service agreements, purchase and sale agreements and shareholder agreements.
Mr. Roxo serves Brazilian and international companies in a wide range of industries, including retail, engineering, petroleum and energy.
Mr. Roxo is an executive officer of the National Association of Finance, Administration and Accounting Executives (ANEFAC) in Rio de Janeiro.

Leonardo Ribeiro advises in the Tax Consulting area in our Rio de Janeiro office. He has over 14 years’ experience and focuses his work on structuring, restructuring and modeling businesses, with an emphasis on corporate and tax planning, aligned with enterprise business planning. He also provides legal advice on making investments feasible (angels, funds, private equity, etc.) and on partnership agreements and operating agreements, including multilateral ones, with parties in Brazil and/or abroad.
Mr. Ribeiro has a particular focus on serving technology companies and new businesses, with a focus on innovation activities, in their various applications, whether in products, processes or services.

Marcelo Pereira is a partner in the Tax Consulting area in our Rio de Janeiro office. He has over 13 years’ experience in tax law and focuses on the petroleum and gas, navigation, shipbuilding and infrastructure industries. He works frequently with issues involving tax and customs advising, tax planning and tax litigation.
Mr. Pereira teaches tax law in the MBA and LLM courses at Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro and is a member of the Petroleum and Derivatives Committee of the Rio de Janeiro Section of the Brazilian Bar Association, the Tax Committee of the Dutch Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (DUTCHAM), of the Brazilian Association for Financial Law (ABDF) and of the International Fiscal Association (IFA).
Ruy Vasques advises clients on tax law matters. He has over 40 years’ experience in this area, with a focus on tax litigation and tax planning. His work is dynamic and includes corporate law areas such as corporate restructuring, corporate litigation, business valuation and reorganization in bankruptcy.
Mr. Vasquez frequently represents companies in the shipbuilding, construction, banking, insurance, chemical, pharmaceutical, wholesale, retail, navigation and petroleum and gas industries.
Gerson Siqueira is a founding partner of our Rio de Janeiro office. He works in our Tax Law and Corporate areas. He has over 30 years’ experience and focuses on tax planning, indirect taxes (VAT) and direct taxes. He has broad experience with mergers and acquisitions, shareholder agreements and restructuring.
Mr. Siqueira advises companies from various industries, particularly retail, electric power and manufacturing.
Mr. Siqueira is a professor in the graduate program at Instituto de Pesquisas e Estudos Contábeis – IPECRJ, and has also lectured at Getúlio Vargas Foundation, the Fluminense Federal University and the Cândido Mendes University. He is the director of Rio de Janeiro Commercial Association (ACRio), vice chairperson of the Tax Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Rio de Janeiro (AMCHAM) and a member of the Rio de Janeiro branch of the Brazilian Institute of Financial Executives (IBEF).

Mauro Jacob works in our Tax and Corporate Law areas. In addition, he also works in the Regulatory area, focusing on Telecommunications. He has 28 years’ experience and has worked at major multinational companies and large accounting firms. He frequently advises domestic and international companies in the energy, industry, retail and insurance sectors.

Severino Silva is a founding partner and for many years was responsible for our Rio de Janeiro office. After a long career in our Tax and Corporate Law areas, he now works as an active member of our Executive Committee, where he plays an important role in advising our other partners.
Mr. Silva is the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Legal Director in Rio de Janeiro and has written the books “Inflation Adjustments of Balance Sheets” [“Correção Monetária de Balanço”] and “The Equity Adjustment Method” [“Método de Equivalência Patrimonial”]. He has published tax and corporate law articles in specialized magazines and journals.
Álvaro Rotunno is a partner in the Tax Litigation area at our Curitiba office. He has over seven years’ experience and focuses his work on administrative and judicial tax litigation at the municipal, state and federal levels. He performs outstanding work before supreme courts, federal courts for the Fourth Region and before administrative hearing bodies such as the Taxes and Fees Hearing Board and the Paraná State Taxpayer and Tax Appeals Board.
Mr. Rotunno serves companies from various industries, including retail, food services, clothing, finance, real estate and cosmetics in the south of Brazil.
