Alessandro Temporim Calaf

Alessandro Calaf works at our Tax Litigation area at our São Paulo office. He has over 20 years’ experience and does solid work in tax law, with a special focus on administrative and judicial tax litigation regarding both direct and indirect taxes at the municipal, state and federal levels. In addition, he also works in Regulatory (Telecommunications).

Mr. Calaf serves Brazilian and international companies in various industries, including telecommunications, retail and agricultural manufacturing.

Georgios Theodoros Anastassiadis

Georgios Anastassiadis focuses on tax law, with a particular emphasis on direct taxes (corporate income tax, CSLL, PIS, COFINS, IOF), IFRS, tax treaties, transfer pricing, foreign profits, tax compliance, calculation of tax credits, tax withholdings and the ISS tax. He has over 25 years’ experience in the tax area, and also works in the areas of corporate restructuring and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Anastassiadis advises domestic and international companies from various industries, including food processing, communications, retail, services, insurance and manufacturing.

Mr. Anastassiadis is a frequent speaker at forums and associations in Brazil and abroad.

Mr. Anastassiadis is recognized for his excellent work in Tax Law by Análise Advocacia 500 e The Legal 500 Latin America.

Fernando Antonio Cavanha Gaia

Fernando Gaia is a founding partner and is responsible for our São Paulo office. He has deep market knowledge and extensive experience. He works in the tax and corporate law areas, advising domestic and international clients on all areas of business law, with a particular focus on business structuring.

Mr. Gaia works closely with companies from various industries, including information technology, e-commerce, cloud computing and payment systems.

He is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and International Fiscal Association (IFA).

Enio Zaha

Enio Zaha is a founding partner of our São Paulo office. He has over 30 years’ experience with tax law, with a focus on tax litigation and tax consulting in the areas of direct, indirect and social security taxes. He also practices Regulatory (Telecommunications) and corporate law, advising clients on corporate restructuring and foreign investment.

Mr. Zaha represents domestic and international companies from various industries, including food processing, construction, telecommunications, retail, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and insurance.

Mr. Zaha has written numerous articles published in professional journals.

Alexandre Tróia Menezes da Silva

Alexandre Tróia is the partner responsible for our Tax Consulting area. He has 30 years’ experience and does a great deal of work in the areas of transfer pricing (VAT), tax compliance and tax consulting. He also advises clients on corporate restructuring and other areas of business law.

Ana Luisa Siqueira Mattos

Ana Luisa Siqueira is partner in the Tax Consulting area in our Rio de Janeiro office. She focuses on tax and customs law, international tax law and Regulatory (Oil & Gas). She has over 15 years’ experience and advises companies on tax matters.

Ms. Siqueira works with companies from a broad range of industries, particularly navigation, petroleum and gas and infrastructure.

Raphael Nóbrega de Andrade

Raphael Andrade is partner in the Tax Consulting area at our Rio de Janeiro office. He takes a multidisciplinary approach and has over five years’ experience working in the administrative tax litigation area at the state level and in tax consulting with a focus on indirect taxes, particularly concerning the brick-and-mortar and e-commerce retail sale of merchandise. He also works with the analysis and application of new business methods conducted over the Internet, such as the use of marketplace platforms, content available through download and transactions with digital currencies.

Mr. Andrade’s main clients are companies from the retail, e-commerce, energy and manufacturing industries in the Rio de Janeiro region.

Sandra Stocco de Siqueira

Sandra Siqueira advises in the Tax Consulting area in our Rio de Janeiro office. She has over 20 years’ solid experience working in the area of tax consulting, with a focus on direct, indirect and social security taxes. She takes a multidisciplinary approach, also advising clients in matters related to administrative litigation, including before the CARF. Her main clients are companies from the pharmaceuticals, retail, electric power, construction and manufacturing industries.

Ms. Siqueira is a member of the Accounting Law Commission (OABRJ) and lectures at various organizations and universities.

Rejane Espósito

Rejane Espósito advises in the Corporate and Contractual Consulting area of our Rio de Janeiro office. She performs solid work in corporate, business and contract law, with a focus on corporate advising, corporate restructuring, asset restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and business agreements.

She has over 18 years’ experience and serves Brazilian and international companies in a broad range of industries, including retail, manufacturing and services.

Rejane Espósito is recognized for her work in Corporate/M&A by Análise Advocacia 500, Latin Lawyer National and The Legal 500 Latin America.

Leonardo Gusmão

Leonardo Gusmão advises in the Tax Litigation area at our Rio de Janeiro office. He focuses on administrative and judicial litigation at the municipal, state and federal levels and has over 14 years’ experience in this area. He represents his clients with a high level of dedication before administrative appeals boards such as the CARF and has broad experience with oral arguments before the main courts, such as the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice and the Federal Regional Appellate Court for the First and Second Region.

Mr. Gusmão’s clients include companies from the natural gas, petroleum, navigation, retail and cooperative industries.

Mr. Gusmão is a member of the Special Committee for Tax Matters of the Rio de Janeiro Section of the Brazilian Bar Association, of the Brazilian Association for Financial Law (ABDF) and of the International Fiscal Association (IFA). He also teaches tax law at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation and is coordinator of the tax law courses at the Higher School for Associates of the Rio de Janeiro Section of the Brazilian Bar Association.
